Digital photography class being offered at CLCS
10/7/2006 - MAYVILLE Digital photography is the topic of an adult education class offered at Chautauqua Lake Central School. The class meets Oct. 16, 23 and 30 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. High school art and photography teacher Dena Homme is the instructor.
In this introductory class, participants will learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop software. Basic computer skills are required. Topics include re-sizing and re-formatting digital pictures for the best resolution; techniques, such as cutting and pasting images; and practice taking still life photographs and portraits. School cameras will be available for use in class. The class content will depend on the experience and interest of the participants.
Additional computer classes will meet in November. They include Basic Microsoft Windows, Basic Microsoft Word and Basic Macintosh OS X.
Pre-registration is required through the district office only. No registrations will be accepted in class. Space is limited. Call the Chautauqua Lake Community Relations office, 753-5802, for more information.
