Right
now, the community has the opportunity to guess what day and time the
quadripod will fall through the ice outside the Lawson Center in Bemus
Point. Those closest to the exact day and time will win a cash prize
from the Chautauqua Lake Association. The rest of the proceeds collected
go toward lake water maintenance and clean-up. Funding will be limited
this year, which makes these unique fundraisers even more important to
keeping the lake clear of nuisance aquatic vegetation in preparation for
the 2016 tourism season. For more information or to make a guess, visit
www.clakeicepick.com or call Heather Nolan at the Chautauqua Lake
Association at 763-8602.
