Snowflake Festival, February 6th
|
Head
to the Jamestown Audubon Center & Sanctuary for the annual
Snowflake Festival, Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm. Hike
the grounds with a nature guide and see what is happening in the winter
world. Take a horse drawn sleigh ride. Build a bird's nest box. This is a
wonderful winter family tradition with indoor and outdoor activities
for the entire family including arts and crafts, workshops,
cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on five miles of trails. Top off
the day with feel good foods for winter including chili and hot
chocolate, coffee and tea.

A Romantic Weekend, February 12-14
|
Treat your valentine to a full weekend of romance in Chautauqua County. Start with tickets to Lake Erie Wine Country's Wine and Chocolate Weekend
and a visit to any of the 23 wineries offering special chocolate
inspired treats paired with select wines. Tickets are good for tastings
Friday through Sunday and include a special gift, recipe booklet and
wineglass. On Sunday, February 14th, take your valentine to an Evening of Comedy with Rocky LaPorte
presented by the National Comedy Center. Rocky LaPorte has gained
popularity from being a finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing in 2014,
appearing in his own Comedy Central Presents special, and performing on
the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. LaPorte has opened for the likes of
Garry Shandling, Drew Carey, Tim Allen, Louie Anderson, Hootie and the
Blowfish and the Righteous Brothers. His clean, blue-collar style of
comedy continues to increase in popularity as he travels the country.
The comedy starts at 7 pm. Include a dinner option starting at 5:30 pm.
Anytime throughout the weekend, stop by the President's Day Weekend Winter Festival in Mayville for some cool outdoor activities and a good excuse to warm up together.

President's Day Weekend Winter Festival |
Join
the fun at annual President's Day Weekend Winter Festival, Friday
through Sunday, February 12-14, at Lakeside Park in Mayville. Opening
ceremonies begin Friday at 6 pm. The weekend includes a multitude of icy
activities like the popular Polar Bear Swim as well as hot stuff
including a Chili Cook-Off. The Snowball Distance Throwing and Lego
Creation Building Contests will engage the kids and the whole family
will enjoy fireworks on Saturday evening. Warm up inside at area
businesses with food and drink specials. The weekend is packed with
