An Evening of Harvest Wines and Craft Beer
|
Join the Grape Discovery Center on October 3, 2015 from 6-10 pm for an elegant evening of wine, beer, and
food pairings. Appetizers, small bites and desserts paired with
seasonal wines and craft beers will be offered throughout the gift shop,
tasting bar and exhibit room. Food presented by Picnic with products
sourced through local farms. Westfield's Portage Pies, recently featured
in a PBS documentary, will also be on the menu. An Evening of Harvest
Wines and Craft Beers is the first in a series of special events at the
Grape Discovery Center presenting Lake Erie regional wine and craft
beverages in a seasonal context.

A Lucy Town Weekend of Races and Comedy
|
Stand-up comedy returns
to Jamestown New York as Joy Behar performs on October 10th. Behar wowed
audiences from the stage as a standup comic for 15 years before being
catapulted into television stardom on The View, The Joy Behar Show, and
multiple HBO specials. This October 10th performance is part of the
Lucy Town Half Marathon & 5K Live, Laugh, Run weekend of events. The
Lucy Town Half Marathon & 5K race weekend has attracted
participants to Lucille Ball's hometown from 31 states annually since
its creation in 2013, including both elite runners and Lucy fans alike.

Experience the Colors of Chautauqua
|
Leaf peepers traveling to western New York will find myriad learning
opportunities in addition to colorful fall foliage and harvest festivals
during the Colors of Chautauqua. Dozens of tours, workshops, and wine,
food and beer tasting events will be held across Chautauqua County.
Visitors as well as residents can register for entertaining classes and
learn kitchen, gardening, and foraging techniques, take lessons in
creating artwork and crafts, join guided walking tours, and discover
history through storytelling.

Harvest festivals continue every weekend through
November. Peek'n Peak Resort near Findley Lake toasts the changing of
the seasons over two weekends, October 10-11 and 17-18 with their Annual Fall Fest.
Festivities include an exceptional juried craft show, ski lift rides,
and snow sports equipment swap. Then, the Wurst Party Ever, a German
themed Craft Beer Festival takes over the Peek on November 7th. Read
