Jamestown's
Water Front is getting a facelift. Officials held their ribbon cutting
ceremony for the Riverwalk bike path and park trail, Friday.
The $525,162 project features a pedestrian path over the former J&W rail bed that runs along the Chadakoin River.
It includes a scenic overlook of the river located across from the McCrea Point and the Chautauqua Lake Rowing Association.
There are also three footbridges, decorative lighting, and park amenities like benches and trash cans throughout the path. This project is phase five of the Greater Jamestown Riverwalk plan.
