President's Day Weekend Winter Festival at Mayville Lakeside Park

An annual Chautauqua County tradition, the President's Day Weekend Winter Festival in Mayville, NY will return February 17-19th. Highlights include a Snowball Throwing Contest, a Polar Plunge benefiting the Food Bank of WNY, Snowman/Animal Building Contest, Snowmobile Rides, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, a Pet Parade, Live Music, Food, Vendors and so much more!

Wine & Chocolate Weekend: February 17-19, 2017

It's Wine & Chocolate Weekend! A minimum of 6 wineries will have wine samples, savory food samples and lots of sweet treats.
Tickets are $38 (online purchase only) and inlcude:
  • A food & wine sample pairing at each winery
  • Wine tasting (one additional flight at each winery)
  • A great gift! This year's gift is specialty chocolates from PULAKOS CHOCOLATES!
  • A booklet containing all of the recipes of the foods you'll be tasting
  • A Lake Erie Wine Country wine glass
  • A $5 voucher to use at any winery or at participating restaurants designated on the back of the voucher
One $38 ticket is good for all 3 days, or a price break for Fri and or Sun ticket for $28 (can't be used on Sat.)  You must be 21 or older to purchase tickets. I.D. required at each winery

Trail Blazers: Part II - Grooming Our 450 Miles of Snowmobile Trails
With 450 miles of snowmobile trails in Chautauqua County, even people who don't participate in the sport are aware of its huge presence. Provided we see favorable weather, this expansive network of trails, second largest in NYS, will attract 15,000 annual riders.

Maintaining the trails requires a lot of time and effort on the part of the five area snowmobile clubs: Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile ClubEllery Sno-CruisersCherry Creek Sno-GoersLake Effect Trailbreakers, and the Sunset Drifters. It is truly a year-round labor of love.

Sleigh Rides at Chautauqua Institution
Every Saturday and Sunday through 2/26
Tak a nostalgic ride on a horse-drawn bobsled through the historic Chautauqua Institution! Rides are about 45 min long & depart approx. every half hour from 1-3 pm.  Purchase tickets at the Chautauqua Bookstore.
