May 24 - June 20, 2014
Celebrate Chautauqua in Bloom, a pre-season, spring learning festival with dozens of workshops ranging from brewing, beer pairing, and growing hops to historic walking tours and lessons in photography. Register for a learning experience while enjoying the local bounty, great outdoors, and heritage of Chautauqua County: the World's Learning Center. For more information, please visit Chautauqua in Bloom.

Comedy, Art and Conga
Take a class in Improv, Stand-up comedy, how to draw Lucy, or even playing the Conga with the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Center for Comedy and Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Center in Jamestown. The two Jamestown attractions team up for workshops in the arts that are offered during Chautauqua in Bloom and again during the Lucille Ball Festival of Comedy, August 6-10.

Learn to Grow Hops
Lake Erie Hops Conference, June 21, 2014, 8 am - 4 pm

Chautauqua in June 2013
Back by popular demand. Learn what it takes to grow hops during the hops production workshop at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Research Laboratory in Portland. Commercial hops growers from Pennsylvania and New York as well as extension staff will share their knowledge and experience in an eight hour workshop that takes place indoors with an outside hop yard tour in the afternoon. Participants will learn about hops production from pre plant to harvesting, processing, and marketing a crop. Register by June 13th.
Vineyard Walks, Wine, and Food Pairings

With the largest grape growing region in the U.S. outside of California, wine themed workshops are a natural fit for Chautauqua in Bloom. Take a walk through the vineyards and learn about how the soil affects taste at Johnson Estate Winery. Dine in the vineyards with winemakers dinners. Taste a vertical flight of Noiret at Liberty Vineyards Library Tasting. 21 Brix Winery teams up with EBC West in Fredonia for a beer and wine pairing dinner, while Cabana Sam's Sunset Bay Grill and Merritt Estate Winery offer wine pairing dinners with a sunset view of Lake Erie.
Historic Walking Tours
