Health of Chautauqua Lake is topic of Saturday program

 encourage Chautauqua County residents, business owners, and anyone else who has an BEMUS POINT – Programs to improve water quality will be spotlighted as the Chautauqua Lake and Watershed Management Alliance holds a Chautauqua Lake Rally from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Village Casino, 1 Lakeside Drive.
After opening remarks from Chautauqua County Executive Vince Horrigan, there will be presentations about the newly formed alliance, the causes and impacts of algae in the lake and an upcoming sewer management study.
Representatives from several lake conservation organizations will be on hand to answer questions. For information, call county watershed coordinator Dave McCoy at 661-8915.
