New Cafe Opens In Bemus Point

By MANLEY J. ANDERSON

7/9/2006 - BEMUS POINT – ‘‘Imagine’’ has been opened at 4950 Main St. in the village as what has been described by owner Myriam Mayshark as ‘‘kind of an original arts cafe.’’She explained, ‘‘I’ve always been interested in the arts and my niece — Angela Wright of Cincinnati — is a culinary arts pastry major and she bakes with Kelly Dill of Bemus Point.’’Ms. Mayshark went on to relate, ‘‘We also offer knitting and jewelry making classes, along with lots of different kinds of beads from around the world.’’She said employees at the new enterprise also can make sandwiches and picnic lunches to enjoy while boating on the lake.Among those joining Ms. Mayshark in staffing the facility are her sister, Vivian Wright of Cincinnati, a special education teacher, and Bemus Point residents Norma Potter and Josh Johnson, this year’s graduates of Maple Grove High School, Jacqueline Chiarot, also of Bemus Point and attending Canisius College as a pre-law student, and Nicole Lipari, the owner’s niece from California.Imagine offers a wide variety of specialty coffees and is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Sunday when hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The new cafe’s location is described as being near to the Bemus Point Inn.
